01 Jul Back To School Bash 2017
2017 Back-To-School-Bash will provide 2,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need throughout the Inland Empire and beyond.
Hairdressers from the community will volunteer their time and provide many students with haircuts, gently used school clothing will be distributed, a doctor will be available to perform sports physicals, and the Boy Scouts of America will provide a complimentary pancake breakfast to feed 5,000 people. Feeding America will donate over 5,000 water bottles which will make it easy to help those in line stay cool. For added fun, inflatables, an Illusionist, super hero characters and face painting ensured a great time for all the kids.
We are looking to give our community a great start to a new school year, free of charge.
What do I need to bring to the event?
Elementary and High School age children must be present to pick up a backpack.
What time may I pick up my backpack?
Backpack distribution will begin promptly at 9am.
Does my child have to be present to pick up their backpack?
Yes. If your child has special needs (ex. Autism, Cerebral Palsy) that prohibit them from attending the event please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the church office during business hours at (951)600-9112 to determine eligibility for special arrangements.
Can I reserve a backpack ahead of time?
This year there are no reservations available for backpacks. All backpacks will be given out on a first come first served basis. Backpack distribution will begin at 9am August 5th, however it is recommened that you arrive early to secure your place in line. Parents may arrive as early as they want to hold their place in line as long as children recieving backpacks are in line by 9am. If your child is not in line with you to recieve a backpack you will not be given one. Backpacks are only given to elementary and High School age children.
