The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce continuously identifies opportunities and challenges that impact our business community. The ongoing discussion about race, equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion is an opportunity for the Chamber to serve its members by providing regulatory and training updates that help businesses understand this ever-evolving topic. Many businesses and institutions, large and small, have embraced this subject and are seeing the benefits of building a better understanding within their own organizations. Since June of 2020, the Chamber’s subcommittee on race, equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion has examined the Chamber’s internal practices, suggested ways for the Chamber to serve its members on this topic, and developed a set of guiding principles featured here:
"The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce is committed to equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion in its business practices and in promoting these values to its members and in the greater community. Creating economic opportunity for all businesses and people, irrespective of race, religion, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation, is the principle of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce will assist the community in this principle by offering information and training resources."
We've learned a lot, listened a lot, and we continue to develop tools and look for opportunities to collaborate with other business organizations that serve diverse communities. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions. Over time, we hope our efforts and growing resources will help your business and help us all be better together.
